PAIC 2019 Broadening Horizons
The Paramedics Australasia International Conference (PAIC) for 2019 – Broadening Horizons – is the premier paramedicine conference in Australasia.
Building on the success of the 2018 conference – A New Era in Paramedicine – PAIC 2019 aims to broaden professional horizons while offering delegates the opportunity to experience the sights, tastes and delights of Hobart and greater Tasmania. Key sessions over two full days on 29 & 30 November include:
- Paramedics doing the extraordinary
- Looking after you
- Building capacity and volunteering in EMS
- Ten minute clinics
- Best of the best research presentations
- The future of paramedicine
- Substance use at festivals masterclass
- and much much more.....
PAIC 2019 delegates will hear from a range of engaging speakers and presenters and is the only conference to offer authors of successful abstracts the opportunity to be published in Paramedics Australasia’s peer-reviewed scientific journal, the Australasian Journal of Paramedicine. This conference also sees the return of case study presentations and provides the perfect opportunity for delegates to meet their minimum eight hours of mandatory interactive CPD requirements and to learn from experts in the field of paramedicine.
FOCUS ON WORKSHOPS
Continuing the momentum and significant delegate interest in workshops we are offering a diverse and focused program of workshops and masterclasses led by topic experts. The difficult decision will be which session/s to attend!
This year's line up of workshops includes:
- Introduction to tactical emergency casualty care for paramedics
- Wilderness paramedicine on Mt Wellington
- Ultrasound masterclass
- Paediatric skills masterclass
- Primary care and wound management
- Research masterclass
PAIC workshops will be held on Thursday 28 November in Hobart, primarily at the Wrest Point Conference Centre. They are an option for delegates who seek to extend the learning experience of PAIC by attending these small group hands-on sessions prior to the two day PAIC conference on 29 and 30 November.
Places in each workshop are limited so ensure you book early!
All conference session attendance can be factored into the development of CPD activities for your CPD portfolio in line with national registration requirements.
What intensive education experience are you seeking? This depends on your interests or an area that you feel you may need more skills and knowledge in and may fit into a learning plan you have identified in relation to your CPD portfolio.
